So one day my windows home server was working fine. The next day only one of my 2 macs could see the windows share. The Simplest way to remedy this problem was to delete the cache from the library folder.
To Do this:
– click finder
– click library
– click caches
– drag what is inside into your trash.
– you may need to restart
if you have multiple users on the computer you may need navigate to the individual users library
