All of the rumors of upcoming iPad’s, MacBook’s and even TV’s have been flooding the recent tech blogs and finally we get to see what Apple actually will be soon releasing. Today those lucky enough to be invited received an invite to an event on March 2nd or one week from today. The event is obviously an iPad event if you go just by the image on the invite, but you never really know what Apple is up to until the announcement. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with all the news coming from the event.
Smartphonemedic has posted a video of the front glass with digitizer and aluminum frame from the upcoming iPhone. The video shows parts that look just like those revealed a couple weeks ago by Gizmodo. The front still shows the forward facing camera and one piece digitizer and glass touch screen.
The next iPhone is expected to be announced at WWDC in a few weeks.
Last year there was a lot of speculation of iPod Touches that would have a camera similar to the iPhone. After no such announcement was made from Steve, most of us figured it would be added in a future version and the rumor was a mistake. This morning, two iPod Touches were placed on Ebay for sale and quickly removed.
According to a youtube video by Bilsta57, the listing said the following:
“Well..These were R & D units..One wont turn off and has some wierd OS…or lack of firmware So it will be dead when you get it,,,but will power up when you plug it in…The other won’t turn on has a brown spot on the screen. Both have cameras”
Since the listing was taken down so quickly we would bet that these are indeed real. When we will see them is still a mystery, but it could be this fall when the next iPod refresh is due.
Leaked photos of what is thought to be the upcoming iPhone 4th generation were released on engadget last night. The iPhone is said to have 80GB of storage along with a front facing camera. See the video for all the details.
To continue the saga of iPhone Rumors, Mac Rumors had forum poster mj12 find some pics off a Chinese website of the internals of the new iPhone. The pictures are consistent with the rumored pics from yesterday., Check out the rest after the jump.As you can see the phones has the aluminum ring and a front facing camera. It also sports the rumored all-in-one display from a few months back.
UPDATE: Apparently the leaked pics of the 4th Gen iPhone are authentic. This is according to a discovery by Engadget. The night before the iPad reveal, a pic was shown with a prototype iPad. In the same picture is a 4th Gen iPhone off to the right that resembles the leaked iPhone pics. The source who leaked the iPad pic also confirms a forward facing camera, higher res screen, a higher res camera with flash and a spot for a MicroSim. That is the little button on the side of the leaked pics we have seen.
Yesterday, Engadget released some images of what was thought to be a leaked iPhone 4th Generation Pics. Applesfera has posted pictures of a very similar device to those seen yesterday. The device appears to be one you can buy in Japan as a counterfeit iPhone.
Chances were those images were fake, but give it a week or two and we’re sure to see the real thing.
