Black Friday 2009 is almost here, crazy I know. If you’re looking for that great deal on an iPod or Apple product of almost any sort, you should be able to score a pretty decent deal if this ad is true from [Boy Genius Report].
The deals are as follows:
- iPods up to 30% off (excludes iPhone and iPod Shuffle)
- up to 25% off all Macs
- up to 15% off all accessories, software and hardware
Some stores will be opening as early as 6am for your convenience. The deals don’t seem so extravagent that they might not be true. We should all be getting this email within the next few days according to the post.
Wolfram Alpha has been running processes and calculations for the masses for a few days now. Unless you haven’t heard, Wolfram Alpha is not a search engine but a computational engine that tries to accumulate and process data based on a given formula. You can do a search, but it does not give you web pages, but instead offers up data about that webpage.
An example of this is typing in this website zollotech.com. What you end up getting as a reult of your query is where zollotech.com is hosted, how many page views and visits per day (which is off on the page views), site rank, average size per page, images per page and so on. You can ask Wolfram Alpha complex mathematics equations and you will find yourself with a satisfying answer.
Wolfram Alpha has numerous capabilities and provides an add on to something Google cannot. On top of searching for things online, you can find statistics, and many other problems solved. If you haven’t been using this service you should keep it in mind when you have questions, homework to do or are just curious.
After only a few days the next update of iPhone 3.0 comes to developers. Developers will have to download iTunes 8.2 Pre-Release in order to install it and that is about all we know at this point. We don’t have any details on what the update does, but you can bet on more bug fixes and/or tweaks to the 3.0 software. Such a quick release could mean the software will be ready soon for public consumption. Perhaps announced at WWDC?
It has only been a few days since the last developer seed of 10.5.7 was released. Today Apple released another version with a single fix that addresses a bluetooth problem. The Build 9J50, having been released so quickly since the last seed hints at the possibility of a release to the public as soon as this week. OSX 10.5.7 has over 100 tweaks and fixes and at this rate should be available any time in the near future. We’ll b sure to let you know when it becomes available for free download in software update.
