Black Friday 2009 is almost here, crazy I know. If you’re looking for that great deal on an iPod or Apple product of almost any sort, you should be able to score a pretty decent deal if this ad is true from [Boy Genius Report].
The deals are as follows:
- iPods up to 30% off (excludes iPhone and iPod Shuffle)
- up to 25% off all Macs
- up to 15% off all accessories, software and hardware
Some stores will be opening as early as 6am for your convenience. The deals don’t seem so extravagent that they might not be true. We should all be getting this email within the next few days according to the post.

Today Apple has updated the iPod shuffle with a new version that speaks to you. The new Shuffle has been shrunken to half the size of the last iPod Shuffle and is slightly more elongated than before, but has increased its memory to 4GB at $79. It still has the clip like before, but lacks the face controls and they have instead been moved to the earbud cord. The new Shuffle talks to you and lets you know your artist name, song name or playlist name. You can control all of this via the in-line earbud control. Apple has included a new video explaining the new shuffle and its features, check it out at the link below.

Amongst the rumors coming from the upcoming 2009 MacWorld Expo is the iPod Shuffle. FBR Capital Markets believe the shuffle to be coming in the first quarter. In their statement they state, a ”new and smaller version” of the iPod Shuffle that may appear some time during the first quarter.” While this may or may not be true, the Shuffle is due for an overhaul despite its very functional and sleek look. The photo above is an obvious concept, but the shuffle could only be improved upon by adding a screen in our opinion, and the concept gives us an idea of the possibilities.

The iPod shuffle has been updated to include 4 new colors, green, blue, pink and silver and also includes (Product) Red. The colors are a slightly brighter hue and not the pastel colors of before. Pricing remains the same at $49.00 for 1GB and $69.00 for 2GB.
