Another leaked pic of tomorrows MacBook has come to our attention.  The picture is of the new MacBook and shows a normal trackpad, but is lacking a button for the mouse.  Per Engadgets post "metal and glass" enclosure now houses an NVIDIA GPU, but no FireWire 400, and video-out is apparently through a connector "more compact" than MicroDVI.

UPDATE:  According to MacSoda "They’re fake everyone! JR, the man behind these pictures, had another “leak” not too long ago… and we all know how that turned out!"

This means the glass trackpad could be a reality or just wishful thinking…

The other interesting thing they mention is it is believed there are not 1, but 2 NVIDIA GPU’s inside the new MacBook.  We are assuming this is for the pro only, but tommorow will let us know for sure.

Also posted is a pic of the side of the new MacBooks below,  check it out…

Apple will be holding their event in Cupertino, California tomorrow morning at 10am Pacific, 1PM Eastern as most of you know.  There is one thing we know for sure about the event as Apple has already notified us of the upcoming notebooks.

The upcoming notebooks have been revamped with a nice "Brick" of Aluminum.  We can see below what the new notebooks will look like as far as their trackpad and keyboard are concerned.

Many rumors have hinted at an $800 dollar price point which would make sense to make the MacBook even more competitive.  Maybe they will call it the MacBook Light?  Although that sort of name implies cheapness and we doubt Apple would want that image about anything they sell.

The next rumor is that the new MacBooks will offer an option for Blu-ray.  This rumor seems to make sense and Apple has backed blu-ray from the start.

The Mac Mini was rumored to be the "Brick" to begin with, but later turned out to be a process.  We would still love to see a Mac mini revamp as they are notebook based.

One of the other rumors we seem to know for sure is that Apple will be making the switch from Intel video chipsets to NVIDIA chipsets.  This is not really a rumor at this point and we only have to guess which chipsets they are using.

An Apple HDTV being in the works is a rumor, but we are doubting you will hear or see anything about it tomorrow.

Finally there have been rumors about the release of iWork and iLife ’09 coming out.  We tend to think this is speculation as Apple has been on a 2 year release schedule for the i-suite of apps.

We would like to see more of Snow Leopard and see what benefits may come our way.  Check back for full coverage of all the releases and announcements from the event.

If you haven’t viewed all the leaked case pictures we have 6 or so of them here

Some new images (6 posted later) of the case of the upcoming MacBooks have been posted at Macx.  The new pictures show the casing made from aluminum as we thought, and show both the MacBook and MacBook Pro.  More photos after the jump…

The Cases look to have the same configuration as the current MacBook.  This means the optical drive is on the right and the ports for USB and sound, etc are on the left.  There appears there is no latch like the current MacBook, and a larger Air-like trackpad, with the power button maintaining its place in the upper right.

We posted a picture the other day of a similar looking macbook pro and here is another unofficial photo. This time the image surfaced right after Apple Insider posted the following.  "The new designs were described as a cross between the 13-inch MacBook Air introduced this January and the aluminum iMacs that made their debut during the summer of 2007. In its April report, AppleInsider noted this would include a trimming or tapering around the edges and instances of black material to contrast the largely aluminum motif of the new notebooks."

Look closely and you will see what appears to be a touchscreen trackpad with dock present about the size of the iPhone.  That would be quite the unique idea.

This is consistent from what everyone has been saying and the picture looks close enough to what the current mac schema looks like and October is looking interesting for Apple’s next event.
