The iPhone has been reported to record everything you do and see on your iPhone according to a hacker. The iPhone caches what you do and stores it, even text messages. Supposedly the screens are deleted once you close the applications, but that can be recovered with software. There is no way to prevent the caching at this time so if you are the paranoid type, you better stop use right away.
