Multiple reports of a new unibody 17-inch MacBook Pro seem obvious to us as we were promised this at the last Steve Jobs keynote.  The difference to this large MacBook is that it will have an ultra-slim non-removable battery.

9to5Mac reports "The news is that Apple is making a super slim battery pack for the 17 inch MacBook Pros that will last much longer than current models.  Additionally, you won’t be able to remove said battery pack.  It will be inside the machine, just like iPods and iPhones."

This news looks to be true and is seeming more likely as we near the upcoming MacWorld Keynote on Tuesday.  The other rumor is that Apple may be dropping the plastic MacBook line and lowering the price of the current unibody 13-inch aluminum MacBook to a more-accessible $1000 range.
