High definition content on the internet is  a funny thing.  We can enjoy the quality of video, but with this quality comes a few trade-offs.  We sometimes have to wait what seems an eternity when we want to view HD content.  The higher the resolution, the longer we tend to wait and sometimes our PC or Macs cannot handle the resolution depending on our specs.  Youtube is now giving us a choice of 1080p content to view on their ever popular video streaming site.

The first video showcasing the 1080p quality is a computer animated short called Pigeon: Impossible.  The best format to show off what HD content can really look like is without a doubt, computer animation.  You can view this very entertaining short, after the jump.

The content may not be Bluray quality, but for the quickness of the stream and quality viewed, there is definitely something to be said for 1080p coming to youtube.  The next step is to get a connection in which it doesn’t take all day to upload said content.
