Due to the injunction for patent infringement against them, Microsoft has removed its Office 2007 and Word 2007 from store shelves.  Originally Microsoft had planned to put together a slightly newer version of Office and Word that removes the features which affect the patent infringement.  So far they have failed to make the cut and instead no versions of the current version of Office and Word are to be sold from today forward.  Microsoft has instead said that those who need office can purchase the Ultimate Edition of the products for a mere $679 or instead sign up for and get the beta version of Office 2010 for free.  Guess which one we think most will pick.  For now if you need Office 2007 you can always hit up one of the many online retailers for their stock of the now banned products.
