For those of you not up to speed on the situation…Last night the Playstation network took a nosedive and caused quite a few PS3’s to not work as planned.  As of now if you own the original or “fat” model of the PS3, Sony is saying do not turn it on until the bug causing the issue is fixed or it could result in data loss.  If you have a PS3 Slim it looks like this is a non-issue for you and you can continue enjoying your gaming or video experience.  For us that own the older model we will have to wait an estimated 24 hours until the bug is fixed and it will be safe to turn on our consoles.

Apparently the bug is due to a clock-related leap year issue that was forgotten by the programmers.  As long as we don’t have a bricked PS3 I think we can deal without MW2 for a day or so, or maybe not…
