iTunes 8 Visualization Definitely Trippy as Promised

 

  We all know of the upcoming event by now from Apple this coming Tuesday.  The announcement has been around for a day or two that the new iTunes 8 will feature some new treats and some trippy visualizations per Kevin Rose. We now find out that the visualizations could be the former Magnetosphere, by artist Robert Hodgins

 

We certainly hope this to be the case as they are much more interesting to look at than the visualizations provided now with iTunes 7.

Samsung Seeks Serious Sandisk Assimilation

  

  Samsung is thinking over whether they want to buyout Sandisk.  Sandisk is already a giant in the memory market, but they are apparently not happy with that. Samsung is optioning a possible buyout of Sandisk to give themselves world domination of the memory market which could cause severe pain to Toshiba.

 

"We are looking at various opportunities regarding SanDisk, but nothing has been decided yet," Samsung spokesman James Chung told Reuters"

 

As if they did not have enough memory in iPods and every other gadget in the world.  As long as the prices stay low,  we’re good…

Sony to Release MS PRO-HG Duo HX Flash Memory, Acronym Translator Included

  

  Shipping this October, Sony is giving their aging Memory Stick Pro-Duo line of flash memory cards a much needed shot of Red Bull in the form of MS PRO-HG Duo HX. Sony boasts maximum transfer speeds of 20MB/sec read and 15MB/sec write when used with the bundled MSAC-UAH1 USB adapter, with the first cards shipping in 4GB and 8GB flavors.  When asked for comment on the new naming convention, a Sony Rep responded: "It’s newer, faster, and more proprietary. We wanted to convey that to our customers"
