Toshiba Makes 10 Minute Recharge a Reality With Super Ion Battery

  Toshiba has shown us a new technology that allows you to recharge your battery to 90% capacity in just 10 minutes.  The battery dubbed SCiB or "Super Charge ion Battery" is not yet available, but certainly could revolutionize the way we use our laptops and if it progresses, it could change the electric vehicle.  The possibilities are quite great and if battery life is at least that of current Lithium ion batteries then this technology could lead to a much brighter future.

New nVdia MacBooks Coming October 14th?

  October 14th looks to be the day that the new nVidia powered MacBooks will make an appearance.  According to TUAW, the date is getting closer and closer to reality, but they still are not 100% sure that the 14th is the day.  Supposedly nVidia employees already have the new MacBooks in hand and we hope we can have them in hand within a couple weeks.

Amazon’s Kindle 2 Leaks Out

  The Kindle 2 has broken out of hiding and confirms the rumors of its existence.  The new Kindle is a nicer form factor with the same size screen as the original.  This version lacks an SD slot and the battery is no longer user accessible.  The display shows the unit has almost 1.5GB of storage left although we do not know how much is already in use.  The Kindle 2 also retains its EV-DO for wireless access and according to the lucky person who has had hands-on with the Kindle 2, it feels slightly heavier, is thinner and is of better build quality.
